On August 12 this year, the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia hosted his excellency Mr. Thomas Schieb, the ambassador of the Republic of Germany, accompanied by second secretary Daniel Mohseni Akhavan.
Along with the president of the FJC Robert Sabadoš, the meeting was attended by rabbi Isak Asiel and the FJC Secretary General Danijela Danon.
The discussion revolved around important issues for the Jewish community of Serbia. The president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia, informed ambassador Schieb on the status of the project Smartphone Application for the Staro Sajmište Memorial Center, which the FJC conducted in cooperation with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Belgrade.

The president of the FJC informed the ambassador about the recent meeting in the city of Pančevo, which was held with the representatives of the German company Brose. Robert Sabadoš explained to ambassador Schieb that the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia welcomes this German investment, but strongly opposes naming the street in Pančevo after Max Brose, given that during the Nazi era, as the member of the National Socialist Party and president of the Coburg Chamber of Commerce, he worked closely with the Gestapo
His excellency ambassador Thomas Schieb, invited the representatives of the FJC to visit him soon at the German Embassy in Belgrade.
