15.11.2023.

A concert of the ensemble "Moscheles" was held in the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belgrade in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack in Israel on October 7, 2023. The reception at the embassy was attended by the president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia, Aleksandar Albahari, the president of JO Novi Sad, Mirko Štark, and other representatives of Jewish communities.

Ambassador Yahel Vilan thanked Czech Ambassador Tomas Kuhta for his uncompromising support to the State of Israel and for organizing a touching event, during which posters with the characters of the youngest people kidnapped and taken to Gaza were highlighted.

"I am looking at pictures of the children shown here, children abducted by Hamas terrorists, children held in prison for 40 days and nights. Until now we thought that nine-month-old Kfir Bibas was the youngest among them. But, we recently learned that one of the abducted women was pregnant and that her baby was born in captivity. We are here, but our hearts are with them," Ambassador Vilan told the gathered officials.
