In the organization of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, a scientific gathering named „Protection, preservation and affirmation of the Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo and Metohija“, was held on 1. and 2. June 2021. At the grand opening, introductory speeches were held by Maja Gojković – Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, dr Vladimir Kostić – President of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and Dragan Vojvodić – a correspondent member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art and the Committee Chairman.

Thanks to the invitation of the organizers, on, was also Mrs. Vojislava Radovanović, Director of the Jewish Historical was also invited to this exceptional scientific gathering. Her presentation was on the Jewish cultural heritage in Serbia, and her colleague, dr Nenad Lajbenšperger, a historian from the Institute for the Protection of Monuments of the Republic of Serbia, spoke about the Jewish monument heritage in Serbia.
Their presentations were accompanied with a rich video demonstration, organized by dr Lajbenšperger. Mrs. Vojislava Radovanović explained the way in which Jewish Historical Museum collections were formed. Two of these collections „Judaika“ and „Stara i retka knjiga“ are unique in Serbia. Mrs. Radovanović introduced the audience with the evolution and origin of the artifacts. Nenad Lajbenšperger spoke about Jewish monument heritage in Serbia.

The whole convention was streamed via internet.
Publishing of an Almanac from this scientific gathering is expected.
