The book "The Falashas - Going to the Promised Land", written by Radivoje Davidović and published by "Čigoja" press, is interesting for readers primarily because it offers them an opportunity to learn more on the particular group of Jewish population which was unknown until the middle of the 19th century. Radivoje Davidović, a long time researcher of the Jewish population, collected data that half a million of black Jews called Falashas lived in the large Ethiopian empire. Who are they really has not been brought to light until today, although the history of their existence dates back to thousands of years ago.
Radivoje Davidovic’s book, fully illustrated with photos, was created from an expanded manuscript " The Falashas then and now", which in 2019, received the award at the 63rd Literary Prize Competition of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia.
